Crafty-writing came about from my love of all things "crafty".
Starting from knitting and sewing and
moving on from there to home-made cards, personalised gifts and calligraphy. Who
knows where to next!
My first "commission" in calligraphy was from a colleague who wanted me to head
up a "This is your life" album
about her deceased father-in-law for his widow to keep. I was paid in chocolate
- always a bonus!
I am a qualified trainer - initially in computer studies, but
these skills are easily transferred into every walk of life.
I am using these skills to put together a guide on teaching yourself
calligraphy and ultimately would love to run
courses in it. When I started I found no-one in my area did it and I had to
complete training by way of self teaching
and some distance learning thrown in for good measure!
